Life is like chess with a veered board. Pivoted into a platform of personal gain for few, while demolishing growth for the many. Thus slowly eroding the lives, cultures, and spiritual guidance gifted from past generations. Crushed under the weight of the board.

 The “Kings” and governments of the world obliterate the ground from beneath all life, distorting the terrain to service as steps to walk upon. Seizing sources of life and subsistence while creating enervating services in exchange for those sources.

“Queens” of lawful influence, and their parliaments bend reason and grant passage to the king’s assaults on the world. Allowing the trampling parades across the board and over the land, and life forms that unwillingly participate. Motions granted through ink made of burned trees, and written on paper sliced from the same conifer.

The “Bishop’s” voices fall as do the structures of faith, morals and righteousness. “Rooks” of progress and human unification begin toppling as the ultimate goal of humankind is eclipsed by the King’s greed. Castles of collective conquest begin to crumble, crumbling not from exterior demolition, but from spiritual internal evanescence. “Knights” of the world fight. Battling each other for their piece of the board and the King’s hunger for more. Defending ideologies that starve the land but supply a feast for the rich.

The rest of us are the pawns. Some fight among each other, supporting or unconsciously emulating the fabricated ideologies feed to them from programs. Caging us in mental aviaries, preventing flight of hearts, minds, and individualities. Some sit on the side of the board, afraid to play, too drained to continue or simply observing. Some pawns fight for a spot closer to the “Kings”, not knowing the spot only grants repetitive war among others instead of eternal peace found off the board itself. Some pawns trip over each other’s words, continuously falling over their derivative beliefs they try to balance upon. Some pawns can not handle the moves needed and fall over in checkmate, devoured by the game designed only to consume.

 Some pawns however, know the board, the game, and the moves made against the masses, and still choose peace over the strategically placed chaos. Refusing to give up their light, these pawns become much more than pawns. They Become “Populus Elementorum”.  

Populus Elementorum means “People of the elements” in Latin. People who are grounded and respectful to earth’s gift of life, and the life forms it cradles with its biosphere that are granted the same gift. While also being as open as the night sky, holding flickers of cosmic light just the same as the universe itself. 

The outer shell and inner core, tough as quartz, clear, resistant, and mighty in its morale and spiritual fortitude. While remaining as fluid and viscous as the global hydrosphere, to challenges and change.The Heart and mind become flames of influence and inspiration that touches others and compels their spiritual spark to ignite or burn even brighter.

 Finally and most importantly, the free spirit holds the weight of the world as air freely relinquishes the weight of a pebble, refusing to allow it to weigh it down and halt its dance of tranquility. The spirit flies free from caged limits institutionalized by human kind. Flow as air without judgement, claim nor worry. Breath deeply in celebration. For to Master the elements, externally and within the soul will facilitate Mastery of the game humans have limited themselves too.

For nothing human made can beat nor subdue the elements that rest above and below the game board.

With the strength and clarity of quartz.

Spiritual flow like water.

Heart on fire.

Soul free and weightless as air.

Remember it’s just a game.
